Sweet N Low Side Effects

Without equality, democracy is a system (G. Zagrebelsky)

A lecture by someone who knows the words and thought how to use them.
regime, democracy, constitution, equality.
La Repubblica, November 25, 2008

scheme or non-regime? A comparison on this dilemma, but so crucial than the moral duty that all about, now as always, here as elsewhere, to take a position on the management policy of the country of which you are a citizen, has not even begun. The reason is probably an association of ideas. If the "system", inevitably, is that of the fascist period, then the question whether there is a regime in Italy means if there is "the" or "a" fascist, or, more generally, if there is anything that looks like in authoritarianism, arbitrariness, provincialism, demagogy, manipulation of consensus, intolerance, violence, etc.. Thus, a serious matter, indeed crucial, is drawn on the ground, which does not lend itself to analysis, demonization of political hysteria functional and confrontation.

But "regime" is a completely neutral term, which simply means a way to govern human societies. We speak of "ancien regime" of democratic and republican regimes, monarchical, parliamentary, presidential, liberal and totalitarian, among others, precisely, of Fascist regime. Without qualification, the system tells us nothing about which there is to take a position, because the essential is nell'aggettivo.

So, taking the word in its proper meaning, isolated from the reminiscences, the initial change of meaning from "a system is currently" in "the current system is something new, compared to the previous? That Italy will experience a living constitution, perhaps still in progress and the outcome is not obvious, which is designed not to be confused with that which preceded it, at least not this is doubtful. I think, and sometimes they say, both those in favor, because the contrary, that we think and say tutti, con definizioni ora passatiste ora futuriste.

Innanzitutto, che non si vive in una legittimità costituzionale generally accepted, ie in a single conception of the proper constitution, but (at least) two that are confronted. Any form of political regiment is based on a basic principle, a spring ethics, ressort mentioned by Montesquieu, dealing with forms of government nell'Esprit des lois. When this principle is in harmony with the essential esprit général of a people, then we can say that the constitution is legitimate and, therefore, solid and accepted. When discordant, the Constitution is designed to collapse, to be dethroned. However, if the public mind is divided, and therefore there is no esprit général that can be said, this is the time uncertainty constitutional il momento della costituzione in bilico e della bilancia che prima o poi dovrà pendere da una parte.

Non voler vedere, significa scambiare per accidentali deviazioni quelli che sono segni di un mutamento di rotta; significa sbagliare, prendendo per lucciole, cioè per piccole changes that will soon be forgotten as temporary illegality, those that are lanterns and warning signs that preparations for a different review. Thus, it remains inert. The gradual build up of materials of construction of the new regime proceeds smoothly and, sooner or later will mass. Then, you can not not want to see, but it will be too late.

*

What really qualifies and distinguishes the political regimes in their deepest nature, and that marks the transition from one to another, is the attitude of equality, the political value of all people, the most important among all, however, oggi il più negletto, perfino talora deriso, a destra e a sinistra.

Questi rovesciamenti are often under the cover of words unchanged (freedom, society, rights, etc.).. Then we can see the truth of this general law: the world of politics, words are exposed to reversals of meaning depending on whether they delivered from above or from below the social ladder. This is to start with the word "political" force sopraffattrice from the standpoint of the strong, as in the binomial friend-enemy, or from the point of view of the weak, the experience of cohabitation, as suggested by the etymology of the polity. Use ambiguous, thus justifying the application to those who talk about politics: which side are you, the helpless or the powerful? The reconstruction of meaning and therefore the integrity of the political communication is possible only in the common and equality.

*

return to the initial question, whether it is in progress, or if you have already made, a change of regime, in terms of deciding equality.

In any organization of large numbers to sneaks an oligarchic power, that is the opposite of equality. In fact, most numbers are larger, this is a law "iron." And 'the discovery of a paradox or a contradiction of democracy. But it is very different if the equation is set aside, among the scrap heap of political or wishful thinking, or if it is (still) value of policy. The constitution - this constitution that takes equality as its basic principle - is poised right on this point.

We can not fail to see that the company is now divided into layers and these layers are not communicating. Lower down are all the invisible ones, without the rights that we, with our law, we define "illegal", for those who were forced to undergo all, there is no law, at the summit, the privileged, in families of blood and interest, for which, also, there is no law, but in the opposite direction, because everything is permitted and, if the law is an obstacle, you change the bend or not apply at all . In the midst of a society stratified and ossified, type Ancien Régime, where mobility is increasingly scarce and the social condition of birth determines the fate of more and more. If you accept everything, the rest is the consequence. You mean that state coercion is unevenly distributed: the greater the more you go down the social ladder, the less the higher you climb, the criminal law, in fact, is a law class and that, for the powerful, not the criminal trial longer exists in the field of social rights that the public guarantee is being progressively replaced surgery suite, where most people have, the more he can. Nor surprisingly, what the Constitution considers the first right of citizenship, work is not reduced to a commodity in the market do.

Similarly, the organization of power moves and closes the top. The party oligarchy is only a reflection of social structure. The current electoral law, which attributes it entirely to their governing bodies the choice of representatives, excluding the preferential vote, is not only a consequence. As a result, the allergy is against the constitutional checks and balances and separation of powers, and against the complexity and length of democratic process, members of parliament. Must decide, and from above the consensus, if any, will then go up from below.

It 's a result, finally, not the cause, the concentration of power not only political but also economic, financial and cultural-media. The relative independence of the three so-called social functions, for centuries considered a guarantee of balance, good governance of companies, is under threat. But the issue of incompatibility, namely the conflict of interest, such as right to left, was shelved.

The cause is always and only one: the fog, to say the least, equality and the resulting network hierarchy. Here you play the decisive game of the regime. Everything else is the result and think about getting things right, in the many injustices e nelle tante forzature istituzionali senza affrontare la causa, significa girare a vuoto, anzi farsene complici.

" It will be true that the latter kind of behavior out there, but do not see the system on which you engage and produce them is to overlook the underlying causes remain at the surface, often only to folklore.

REGGIO C. / RIGHT 'ARCHITECTURE: DEAN, ARCH. EXTERNAL VIEWS TORTIOUS

REGGIO C./FACOLTA' ARCHITETTURA: PRESIDE, ARCH. FUKSAS HA ESTERNATO OPINIONI LESIVE

(AGI) - Reggio Calabria, 22 Nov -''I note, with regret, that in the transmission Annozero aired yesterday on RAI 2 in the early evening, the architect Fuksas voiced strong opinions on the offensive right 'to Architecture of Reggio Calabria. The nature of derogatory phrases towards the teachers and the most 'senior University' Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria were delivered with obvious superficiality 'and disinformation.''

said the Dean of the Faculty 'of Architecture, University' Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, Francesca Fatta.

''After a documented service on the University 'of Messina, and in which' deals with the current facts of record, the arch. Fuksas has seen fit to launch free jokes on the Faculty 'of Architecture of Reggio Calabria, which, remember, belongs to one of the universities' which fall within the parameters of the virtuous MIUR. The statements of the architect. Fuksas - says the arch. Without - dealing with alleged''nerds''and racks, which, in the early 70s, were called by Quattrone to assist with the founding of the School '.

Among all these memories Antonio Quistelli. Continuing with obvious inaccuracies such acrimony and bad faith - say Without - you can not accept phrases thrown at random as''professors, deans and rectors did so without competition.'' That 'a joke that does not deserve any further gloss. I wish the arch. Fuksas, definitely part of the star of the international system and that, for many years, had the architects trained staff in these faculties', found the will and the time to review its current views on Reggio Calabria. E 'born small and Roman, and this for us' to boast, since' claim the Masters who have preceded us. Today the right 'of Architecture has structured more than 130 teachers, mostly in Sicily and Calabria, and more than 750 freshmen' of 3000 students. We grew up and, although 'peripheral, we do not feel at all marginal in the national and international.''

''I hope that the unfortunate intervention - the architect concludes. Made - not backfire on our image, 'cause I had to ask for any damage and in these times of economic hardship would not be so' bad.

Fuksas Fuksas Annozero: press release of the Rector of the "Mediterranean"

November 21 Fuksas Annozero: press release of the Rector of
Annozero Thursday, 20/11/2008

Anyone who knows Massimiliano Fuksas would understand, seeing the last episode of Annozero, the Roman architect, on the University in general and on the University Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria in particular was motivated by resentment personal.

His talk excitedly and, above all, the slip repeated several times (three) on a principal "physical and historical sciences," betrayed emotional involvement, known to all. At least all those who know personally Maximilian University, that his fellow Romans, still young, not able to be so, as he said, "losers" had been called by Ludovico Quaroni and later work by Antonio Quistelli in a home objectively difficult and, at the cost of considerable personal sacrifice, to the birth of a new University. Names, among others, the focus of debate, like those of Franco and Laura Pure Thermes, or Sandro Anselmi Renato Nicolini, or Lucio Valerio Barbera, Anthony Newfoundland and Tato Dierna, currently leading representatives of the Roman wisdom that have helped to set up a school.
And I wonder: can a public broadcast network in prime time, allow a person , however reputable, to provide, without any contradiction, between humoral slurs and innuendo, misrepresentation and a seriously detrimental to a reality institutional?

E Fuksas is a person in authority. An architect known by all. It designs and produces works in all parts of the world. The books that speak of his works are translated in many countries. It is part of the star system architecture world: today it wins a contest the other tomorrow and so on. In the exchange cross-commissions. Otherwise what would the circuit? Closed and impenetrable to new inclusions.

Many students of central and peripheral, look to these architects admired, with a desire to learn the art of the project. The shapes of a dream. To emulate and compete, after graduation, where the life, or the case will bring them luck.

And our young architects, in more than 400 municipalities in Calabria, when the north or France or elsewhere, with the enthusiasm and skills acquired here, in their small, contribute every day, with the culture and the project, to make a better area in many ways from other disasters, both architecturally and environmentally. Themes, constantly, to the attention of our university.

Among other things, Fuksas has had many young architects as collaborators from the Faculty of Architecture of Reggio Calabria. Glad to work with. I presume to know what the intelligence and enthusiasm that showed in doing so. By contributing to these reasons, in some cases to throw in an international context. From

as a successful architect Massimiliano Fuksas students of architecture of a device such as the Mediterranean power, they expect lectures, pictures and beautiful architecture, more generosity. Words that are lobbying and not just because of denigration born in a land device (in the era of internet, globalization, but as?).

Quistelli Antonio, founder and first rector of the Mediterranean, in a meeting with President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, said he worked in Rome Neapolitan Quadroni Louis: "You see Mr. President for some of us work in a University Calabrese has the meaning of a lifestyle choice. Doing things in this world has a different value to them in Rome or Milan. Because these things can contribute, among other things, to spread a culture the law that would permit the slow growth Calabria civil, economic and social its people deserve. "

One last thing regarding offices of dean and rector, called by Fuksas. And 'everyone knows that they are elected, voted, with transparent rules, by the scientific community and the dean of the faculty for the entire university to the rector. With the vote of hundreds of people, monitored by the press and public from around the region participating.

Collapse school: "This lesson is going to die"

An aunt of the dead boy in school: "Gli istituti fanno schifo"

RIVOLI (Turin) - "Do see what conditions are the schools that you can die in 17 years going to class." The aunt of the dead student is the first to launch the most searing accusation that Codacons summarized in one line: "It 's a tragedy waiting to happen." "Going Home", commented the Minister for Infrastructure Matteoli.

The collapse of the ceiling at the high school di Rivoli, even in time of grief and emotion sparked the controversy.

The President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, was "deeply saddened" by the disaster that "raises disturbing questions about the defense of collateral security in schools," he instructed the prefect of Turin, Paolo Padoin, "to represent the family of the victim Expressions of condolences and express his best wishes to the students injured a speedy recovery. "

"A tragedy really incomprehensible, it is not possible for a boy lost his life at school," said Education Minister Mariastella Gelmini, after a meeting with local institutions and law enforcement held in Rivoli. "I am here to express my personal closeness and the government - he added - to all the people who were involved in this tragedy. The boys and their families and, in particular, to the family of the boy who lost his life here. "The minister added that" in the next decree, drawn up with civil protection, we have provided an extraordinary appropriation for the maintenance of hundred schools most at risk in Italy. "But, as suggested by several groups that have long launch the 'Safety Alert in school buildings, there is no monitoring to refer to.

Mayor Rivoli, Guido Heel, speaks of the tragedy at the school called a "white death". "We do not save on safety at school - he adds - we must put aside the many unnecessary words that have been made recently in the school."

"This is a tragedy waiting to happen - said Codacons president Carlo Rienzi - in fact 75% of schools in our territory is not sure if there are no other statutory certificates. For years have complained about the crumbling of the Italian schools without obtain any intervention of institutions safeguarding the students. "

It is the opinion of Mimmo Pantaleo, general secretary of the FLC-CGIL, which stresses "the poor condition of school buildings in our country. An age-old question that we denounce a long time. "Most of the buildings does not comply with safety standards and are crumbling, the law is not applied 626. Many schools are at risk, "says the union for which the events" can happen every day. "What is needed" urgently, is a rigorous monitoring of facilities and the investment of resources. That's because - adds Pantaleo - you can not save the school. "

The Guariniello pm: This tragedy teaches that "we must invest in security
Improve the conditions of his companions except Andrea, who was admitted to CTO, who will have to undergo another surgery

Rivoli, a new survey high school Darwin

Second operation for the seriously injured

TURIN - A Rivoli today is the day of pain and dismay, while the investigations proceed through the rubble of the fourth G of the high school classroom where Darwin yesterday ceiling collapsed and the tube cast hiding. A failure that caused the death of Vito Scafidi, a student of 17 years. Instead improve the conditions of his classmates injured except Andrew, the worst that will have to undergo another surgery and is likely to remain paralyzed.

goes on the investigation opened by the Prosecutor which investigates for disaster and manslaughter against persons unknown, while the controversy over rampant safety in school buildings. New survey of the prosecutor, Raffaele Guariniello, among the first yesterday to go to the site of the tragedy: "We are collecting the information, and we're hearing of witnesses," he said, underlining that it is "important" for the prosecution, the work since this morning by the technical consultants. "From all these elements - said the deputy prosecutor - that we can count on to give an explanation of this event." In any case, events of this type should always take the lessons - highlights pm Guariniello - in these environments, both working in schools where we send in our children, we must invest in security. "

Meanwhile, the institute will go ahead and have already taken in the non-sequestered by the judiciary, checks the ceilings by technicians." The building is old and in the past had some problems - said the dean, Maria Torelli was in his office this morning - but never, repeat never, we had problems with the countertops. This is the worst weekend of my life. They are very close to the families of students, particularly that of Vito Scafidi. Did not know him personally because the school has more than a thousand students and those who only know me cause problems.

He underwent surgery to stabilize the spine to complete which will require a second operation will be done tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. Only after this second operation will be possible to perform a neurological evaluation. It thus remains guarded prognosis. "

The risk is that Andrea Macri can remain paralyzed in the legs. The young man, who is sedated, conscious arrived at the hospital. He remembered what had happened." He reacted very strongly - he explained Miletto - asked of his dead. Probably was close when the ceiling collapsed. Before the operation was affiancato da un gruppo di psicologi".

Italian schools are unsafe, and the tragedy of Turin, where the collapse of the roof of a school has caused the death of a 17 year old student, does is confirm a dramatic trend. Three out of four schools, according to Codacons, are not up to standard.

Only 25% of the buildings, in fact, both the certificate of fitness for use 'static, both the practicability of' health and hygiene, fire prevention is the certificate. Pessimistic analysis? Probably not, if the same Ministry of Education after a survey has identified 10 thousand schools unsafe. And a recent survey of Legambiente adds: a student who enters the school in the world today has a great chance 'of being in a dilapidated old building (52.8% and' was built before 1974, that 'before they entered force in the current criteria for earthquake resistant buildings), and maintenance-free. The tape reveals that Concorsopoli

MESSINA - "When I decided I had to oppose this" system "is also my thoughts went to my friend and colleague Matteo Bottari (killed in 1998, ed.) I have suffered threats, intimidation, but I could not allow him to become a teacher, whoever he was, that did not meet the merit and quality. And I was not the only one, not all the committee evaluated the candidate recommended by the appropriate dean Tomasello. " Who speaks for the first time with newspapers, is Joseph Cucinotta professor of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Messina with his complaint that caused an earthquake in real 'university. His statements led to the indictment of the rector, who will be tried together twenty-two tra docenti e dirigenti dell' università messinese il 5 marzo prossimo.

The threats began to arrive shortly after the announcement of this contest made ad hoc. Professor Horace Catarsini, former Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, "messenger" of Tomasello rector meets the professor and Cucinotta warns. Catarsini "Joseph, I am only a messenger of the Magnificent and this competition is exploding a bomb. The competition to win the macros, otherwise you will not have protection and the judiciary would open an 'inquiry ...». A few days later it is the turn of another "messenger," the professor of veterinary John Caiola. Caiola, "Look, if he does not win you the son of Professor Macrae Cut the legs and you will be hard times. If you do not win the contest must go Macri white. "

But it is not Professor Cucinotta afraid. The candidate Philip Spadola is terrified for the pressures received. Phone a friend confides, "I participated in that competition but there are problems, Professor Cucinotta was placed against the mafia system Messina." When Professor Catarsini being questioned by prosecutor Nastasi, confirms: "I was summoned by the dean and I prospected what was going to contest that he was taking a direction not supported, since it would not have been declared fit for the son of Professor Macrae, to the person which the competition was bandit. This is because the professor was Cucinotta resistance. The rector asked me in a heartfelt and urgent action on Cucinotta. A refusal would have resulted in a distancing himself from the kitchenette of the rector. " - From our correspondent Francesco Viviano

MESSINA - "Hello Melitta, you know? My husband has been appointed to 'unanimity President of the Court' s appeal to Messina. I am very happy with it, say even Franco (Tomasello, Chancellor 's University, ed) and remind him of the competition of my son. Hello, hello. " Who is talking on the phone is the wife of the President of the Court 's appeal of Messina, Nicholas Fazio, who is liable Melitta Gras, the wife of the rector and director of' College, whose phone is picked up by the Guardia di Finanza involved in a story because of bribes for contracts with a million euro for the supervision of Messina Polyclinic. But is not the only interception. There are many others, including magistrates of Messina, like that of the deputy prosecutor Giuseppe Siciliano recommends that his own son.

Needless to say, both the children, the chairperson of the Court 's appeal and that of procuratore aggiunto, hanno vinto i concorsi banditi dall' ateneo. Posti unici, blindati, senza altri concorrenti.

More trouble then for the 'university that, as he told La Repubblica in recent days, was hit by a storm that has engulfed his court, the rector, Franco Tomasello, who has been indicted and will be tried together on March 5 next other 23 between teachers, researchers and officials in various capacities accused of extortion, abuse of 'office in the competition, false, attempted fraud, abuse and embezzlement.

At stake, some rigged competitions and pressures made to some candidates not to submit to the tests associated with it. And in another parallel investigation is also involved his wife Rector, Melitta Grasso, university leadership, accused of benefit in exchange for "kickbacks," a company which had won the 'contract for almost two million euro for the supervision of Messina Polyclinic. A contract that now costs just € 300 000.

's investigation into the' University of Messina, therefore, is far from 'and another that ended with each passing day we discover more cheating. Acts of 'inquiry launched after a complaint from a teacher who did not accept to play rigged competitions, there are many interceptions the wife of the rector. Convinced that it is not heard, during a search of the Guardia di Finanza Melitta Grasso tells his collaborator ('Albert') to to disappear from the 'office incriminating documents. In a query of the Democratic Party in the Senate, calling on the Minister of Education Mariastella Gelmini "whether it will become a civil party in the interests of 'image of universities and also if it intends to suspend a precautionary measure, the rector of Messina." - Francesco Viviano

"I will not enter into the merits of 'investigation by the competent authorities - said the dean - I only say that an ad hoc committee to monitor' the activities of the Hospital 'has established the university in 2007." The rector recalled the appointment of Joseph Pecoraro at the top of the building: "He made a clean sweep of costs considered too exorbitant and unnecessary," the chancellor added: "Since I took office I set transparency of conduct, knowing that my conduct was not acceptable to some people.

C 'is a bunch of people who think they can take advantage of the philosophy of using a public institution for personal, I do not accept and will go on my way. " Meanwhile, yesterday, took place a committee to examine the procedures implemented by the 'University peloritano transparency to the process announced by the same Tomasello. "Three prominent figures - said the chancellor - of which not even know the names are examining the documents of this university. If something is wrong, the prosecutor will then track down those responsible. " For the Hospital, the Commissioner has already drafted a report that photographs the condition of the 'company university. As mentioned yesterday

from the Republic, the wife of the rector, Carmela Grasso is suspected of corruption, "in competition with others" in the management of security services and the provision of meals at the Policlinico di Messina. Along with her five other people were investigated.

Viviano FRANCESCO MESSINA - The "worms" in Messina is never finished. You play, maybe worse than before, and you can not, at least for the moment, swept away, business barons and power centers. And, as in the time Anti-Mafia Commission, which landed at Messina, revealing a series of Mafia plots they saw together on a committee 's political affairs, white collar and men' s honor, the center c 'is always' s University and Policlinico di Messina. Indeed the leaders of the General Hospital, a leading industrial city of the Strait.

After the rector, Francesco Tomasello that last year he was investigated and suspended for two months in charge 'of a field investigation of crimes, contracts and clan, now in the crosshairs of the judiciary Messina ended his wife, Dr. Melitta Grasso, neurosurgeon and director of 'University. is accused of corruption in competition with others in the management of security services and the provision of meals at the Policlinico di Messina. According to the 'accusation, Dr. Melitta Grasso would have pocketed bribes of thousands of euro to facilitate the' allocation of lucrative contracts to companies close to her.

procurement of millions of euro in recent months, with the 'arrival at the Hospital of Special Commissioner, Joseph Pecoraro, have been scaled down and reduced to hundreds of thousands of euro. Just this difference lies in one of the factors that led prosecutors and investigators to investigate procedures and speed of money. And the reactions were swift, so that within one week of the clinic's administrative offices were visited by strangers who stole computers and other material. But no computer randomly, just as the administration 's Where' was kept in the documentation relating to procurement, new and old.

A 'intimidation, a' signal 'that Pecoraro committed to disjoint the web of malfeasance in Messina Policlinico, does not underestimate, "Most likely it's signs, and directs us to revive old ways: they will not succeed." But groped to understand what is happening at the Polyclinic of Messina, we start from the latest surveys that have hit the top and, above all, the wife of the rector, Melitta Grease that ended in a tangle of interests on which the judiciary is investigating a long time and The Guardia di Finanza. The Flames have yellow

put the nose on the current accounts of the wife of Francesco Tomasello, monitoring bank accounts and other businesses. All documented in a file that is now finished on the table of the deputy public prosecutor, and Sciglio Nastasi. They are the owners of 'investigation, which sees investigated Melitta Grasso and others. 'S investigation revolves around the million dollar contract for surveillance of the Polyclinic of Messina, which until a few months ago was run by security company "Detective". A contract of one billion seven hundred € 's years now, with the' arrival of Pecoraro, it costs just over € 300 000 and that was entrusted to a company other supervisors. The difference between the first and the second contract, who is suspected investigates and reveals the 'existence of costs "extra" and among these, according to the hypothesis of the investigators, the "bribes", "The Detective" was bestowed on Dr. Melitta Grasso.

The manager knows that he is suspected to the point of talking on the phone quietly telling his audience that "demonstrate the origin" of that money. Even an expensive Louis Vuitton bag that one day Dr. Grasso would see in a shop in the center of Messina, and that was later donated by the directors of "The Detective". 'S investigation was launched in September last year when Daniel and Cristina Corio, two of the four daughters of Corio spouses who were holders of the company to watch "The Detective ", denounced the cheating all 'inside of the company. It was then intervened, Emmanuel Galicia, a former policeman and a former intelligence agent, who was a close associate of Daniel and Cristina Corio, reporting that Enzo Savage, a former employee of" The Detective " could guarantee contracts because they had always achieved on the basis of personal relationships. L 'contract for the supervision of the clinic was awarded in 2003, when the rector was Gaetano Silvestri.

Three years later, in 2006 to watch the' University was always won by "The Detective" but with a procedure that investigators are now checking in every aspect. The 'company was the' only awarded to a participant in the tender price slightly less than the maximum. A contract which was also censured by the Board of Auditors. And in this contract, according to the 'accusation, there would have been the' interest of Melitta Grasso, who is under investigation over corruption in the competition. 'S investigation is only beginning. In the focus of the investigations are over other contracts. Starting from that for meals. That would be "salty." - Francesco Viviano

Messina, the' university friends and relatives

Messina, the 'university friends and relatives

Viviano FRANCESCO MESSINA - Inside the temple of learning in the 'University of Messina, is being a real earthquake record that involved the leaders of the' university city of the strait. All caused by "Parentopoli" (recommendations and threats to students not to participate in rigged competitions where the winner was always "son") and alleged bribes to the 'expectations for the supervision of Messina Polyclinic. And after the trial of the Rector, Franco Tomasello will be processed next on March 5 along with 23 other teachers and researchers, teachers and civil servants 's University on various charges of graft, abuse of' competition in office, forgery, attempted fraud, abuse and embezzlement for some made-up competitions, the ' investigation widens to amcchia 's oil and power of attorney come in new complaints, new scandals. And in this hubbub

judiciary is involved, for 'other story, just the wife of the rector, Melitta Grasso, director of the university, accused of benefit in exchange for "kickbacks", a company which had won the' contract for nearly two million euro for the supervision of the Policlinico di Messina. A contract that now costs just € 300 000. The Public Prosecutor of Messina, to our newspaper and the forces of 'order, have received complaints, anonymous and signed, with some teachers and researchers and aspiring members that tell what happens in the' University of Messina, a real estate twenty families, principals, teachers, researchers and administrative officials who helped the 'a' s other chairing commissions' tests that allow the "exchange" of recruitment of children, gender, grandchildren and close friends.

The cap has jumped because of a made-up of these competitions, that launched last year for a position as an associate in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine which was to be won, "at any cost," by Francesco Macri, the son of the pro-rector, Baptism Macri and sponsored by its rector Franco Tomasello. Many aspiring to that place were intimidated and threatened for failing to win the competition and let the son of the pro-rector.

And when he was asked his opinion to the delegate of the Rector, Professor Raffaele Tommasini, if you could delay the "call" Spadola, in an intercepted conversation said: "Suffice to say that the 'fit did not correspond to the profile required by the Faculty." And another teacher, Anthony Pugliese, said candidly that it did not matter whether the candidate recommended by the father and the rector, "during the tests had not even been able to define the cavities.

So all 'University of Messina everything can be or could be done because "families" protects the' one off 'other. I assume your daughter, your daughter, your nephew and you assume my relatives. E It is no accident, as he discovered the weekly Messina Centonove that 50 percent of the 1,500 teachers of the 'University of Messina has at least one of the same name. They are all fathers, wives, children, gender, daughters, nieces, cousins \u200b\u200bor near relatives. - Francesco Viviano

Operation Symposium: Involved UNICAL

20-11-2008 - Calabria is certainly accustomed to learn that his lack of development was born by the many scams on the State and the European Union. Perhaps people are so accustomed to this system, who finished with gloss over this kind of news.

You can not, however, learning not to be appalled by the "Symposium", which in an alleged fraud of more than € 30 million, is the involvement of some professor of the University of Calabria.

absolutely do not want to take advantage of this additional boulder hits the sink Calabria to think of the image of a university that I have always considered leading Italian university education. However I would not feel honest even if it does not reveal that part of this University of Calabria has not been immune from belonging to a system that has a region of Calabria where everything is permitted with the semblance of legality.

National Exhibition November 14, 2008

The student movement "Transparency Participation Autonomy" took part in the national demonstration on 14 November 2008. Present from Reggio Calabria also "join the Collective, and the Academy of Fine Arts, the latter leading the procession through the creation of two giants representing education and financial.

On Saturday and Sunday, La Sapienza University in Rome, houses the National Assembly of the students: two days to discuss "self-reform" a cui prenderanno parte anche i gruppi reggini più attivi sul territorio.

OBJECTIVE self-reform

il manifesto del 08 Novembre 2008
OBIETTIVO AUTORIFORMA
Francesco Raparelli

Sipario. Giochi linguistici, appunto, laddove ci si rende conto che i consensi calano e che il movimento sta vincendo and does not stop. Tips

of communication that gives us the deepest core of the attempt to reform Gelmini: differentiate funding for universities, to impose the logic of production efficiency, thus raising the fees and enter the number of participants, all accompanied by a few crumbs for the grants or loans. "There can be only one," read an old movie: there are only a few, excellent, well-funded and inaccessible to most people, except for those poor, will be ready to load on their shoulders in their twenties debt for tens of thousands of euro.

The sad end of the American private debt we all know, is called the global crisis. But the movement has not lost in the wiles of the communication and went to the heart of the matter: without the withdrawal of the Law 133 the struggles do not stop. The

yesterday it was an extraordinary demonstration: Tens of thousands of students and temporary workers in a procession in Rome, love, in Naples and other cities. Not bad for a day of events entirely self-organized, just eight days after the great storm of October 30. And it is starting from the historical results of the October 30 that the movement of Wisdom in particular, but the universities in revolt in general, has appealed to trade unions, federations and base, to create and build together a great strike General able to paralyze the country and impose another agenda on social policies.

The offensive that this government is inflicting on the institutions of welfare, we are faced with a momentous crossroads: to accept the dismantling of government guarantees, restore democratic welfare, making this a great challenge in regaining the new policy. And it is the democratization of research and education in general that is at the heart of this movement. Self-reform of the university, the watchword through the mobilization, which makes up the agenda of discussions of the faculty. Not only the blockade of the city as a new way to strike, maanche, the proposed construction of an alternative concrete, a great power self-regulation of students and casual research.

Along the manifestation of 14, during the two-day National Assembly will be held at the Wisdom of 15 and 16, these themes will be: the general strike on the one hand, the self-reform of the university to another. At the same time, the need to articulate the slogan that continues to go around the country, "We will not pay for the crisis."

student movement: the position of students of Agriculture
Friday, November 7, 2008 10:36
The birth of the student movement in opposition to the reform of school and university system is one of the most interesting phenomena of the last half century. Faced

to a law that affects the future of new generations, and school and university in a very spontaneous and free student groups, regardless of their political membership have created a trade union that brought the whole of Calabria and throughout Italy a mass mobilization that some time you could not see a sign of political maturity that we young people today have.

The real desire to show their disapproval against those who did not involve the social partners and has not cured the interests of young people in the world has meant that the protest of students was added to the staff depended on the teachers, almost all student youth organizations, the majority of society civil.

Even in the Mediterranean University has led to a mobilization that involved much of the student body, which is important from this point of view is the shareholders' meeting, which included an impressive number of students, which was attended by Rector Mediterranean University Prof Massimo Giovannini and managing director Dr. Romeo Antonio.

The University now needs to be supported and encouraged, it needs a national government that would protect and support the needs of students that would allow the entire South to create the foundations for their future, according to the usual criteria of meritocracy, and I believe that this state of mobilization should be continued, always in a peaceful manner and moderate in order to give an even stronger feeling that the change we want to necessarily move from dialogue and confrontation, the basic principles of a Democratic Governance, University students we do not stop!

Together we can.

ASSEMBLY OF THE MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY

was held nell'affollatissima Aula Magna of the University "Antonio Quistelli", the meeting with the Mediterranean University wide participation of all the academic components. After

assistance of the Rector and the Administrative Director, took the floor representatives of students, teachers, PhD (ADI) and the administrative staff.

This resulted in the attached summary:

ASSEMBLY OF THE MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY

November 5, 2008 The Assembly of the Mediterranean, held on November 5, 2008 in the Aula Magna of the University "Antonio Quistelli," he discussed the measures contained in Law 133/08 and in particular on the block of turn-over of staff of the university, on a sizeable fund to-day duties of the Italian universities and the creation of Universities / Foundations.
outset the Assembly welcomes and supports the contents of the document approved on October 28 by students of the Faculty of Architecture on the cuts envisaged by Law 133/08 and the substance occurs, the following considerations:

1) Blockade of Turn-Over will inevitably reduce the number of teachers and ensures that we can make a generational change within the university system, preventing the inclusion of young University students, researchers precarious, fellows, fellows, staff and permanent staff atypical.
The other worrying is the fact that without the turn-over system and close degree and still others will be impossible to open.
The consequences for the Mediterranean University will be the waiver in coming years to about 30 units of staff between teachers and PTA, which can not be replaced if not for a ridiculous percentage, and therefore a massive reduction of education, estimated at 2000 hours lesson, thereby harming those students who have an education less and less rich and faculty in a number not sufficient to support the curriculum. This will prevent a fortiori, the expansion of the training faculty in law as it has strong demands by students to open the Master degree in Economics.

same assembly refers to the sharing of responsibility for local authorities (Region, Province and Municipality) who are called in a dramatic moment of lack of resources to proactively contribute to survival and, if possible, through the development of the Mediterranean 'measures be taken to imply that consolidated resources Ateneo
